Anastasia
Arnold (Ensemble) -
Anastsia is very excited to be making her debut in this production with
Circle Players. She is a recent graduate of Middle Tennessee State
University with a degree in Theatre. Anastasia most recently was seen
as Phillia in A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE FORUM at
Pull-Tight Theater. Her favorite roles include Lucy in YOU’RE A
GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN and Ariel in FOOTLOOSE. She would like to thank
Mike for this fabulous opportunity to perform with such a talented cast
and crew. Anastasia dedicates her performance to her family and the new
friends she has made working on MATTRESS.

Anastasia Teel (Ensemble) - is
enchanted to be participating in her second Circle Players production.
She was most recently seen as Kim in Steeple Player’s
production
of Bye Bye Birdie. Anastasia has been in several shows with Metro Parks
Youth Theatre, including Into the Woods (Cinderella) and an original
piece, The View From Jupiter (Heather). Other shows include High School
Musical with Circle and Guys and Dolls. Anastasia is a junior at
Hume-Fogg where she is a member of the show choir, The Blue Notes. She
is charmed to have the opportunity to perform with such a talented cast!

Andrew Drumhueller (Ensemble) -
This is Andrew’s debut stage performance in Nashville, after
moving to TN two years ago, from small town Nebraska, were he was
number eleven of twelve crazy children. He remembers long road trips
sighing show tunes and annoying his family. Since his move Andrew has
worked with Street Theatre designing/construction costumes for their 07
season, also singing backups for Streets production of "The Wiz". He is
exited to be performing again. Andrew wants to thank God for his
talents and abilities and his friends and family for there love and

Cat Eberwine (Lady Lucille) - is
in her second Circle Players show after such a wonderful experience as
Alice in Titanic: The Musical. Cat has performed in the
Nashville
area for 5 years at the Towne Centre Theatre, Boiler Room, Pull-Tight,
and most recently as Gooch in Nashville Dinner Theatre’s
Mame. Some of her favorite roles have been the
Baker’s Wife
in Into the Woods, Philia in …Forum, and Bianca in Taming of
the
Shrew. While living in LA, she performed as a ballroom dancer
in
the Disney film Haunted Mansion and the TV series Alias. Cat
also
worked for Walt Disney World as a character performer, the first female
barge driver for Fantasmic! She would like to thank Jennifer
from
the bottom of her heart for hours of hard work, “You are
amazing!”. |

Catherine
McTamaney (Lady
R/Ensemble) - is
enjoying getting back involved in community theatre after an 18 year
hiatus. She appeared earlier this year in Street Theatre Company's
production of "Evita," joining her husband and two children in the
ensemble. In real life, Catherine is a college professor, author and
neighborhood busybody.

Cathy Street (Winifred) - Cathy
Street (Princess Winifred) has been involved in theatre professionally
for over 20 years and has toured nationally with various companies.
Locally, she has been seen on stage as Linda in Blood Brothers, Maria
in Sound of Music (Circle Players), Miss Casewell in The Mousetrap
(Chaffin’s Barn), and Meredith (Bat Boy). In New
England,
she won the “Best Actress in a Musical Award” three
years
in a row for her performances as Amnesia in Nunsense, Audrey in Little
Shop of Horrors, and Sally in Cabaret. She is currently the
Artistic Director of Street Theatre Company in East Nashville which
most recently produced the musical, Evita. Mike Z –

you for being one of the funniest people I know and for inspiring us to
play. “All my love to my wonderful husband, JJ,
for…well, everything!”

Chad Webb (Minstrel) -
is honored and excited to return to the Circle Players stage for the
third time. He has been most impressed with this incredibly talented
cast and crew and would like to thank his friends and family for their
continued support and encouragement. Chad played the role of the Wizard
in Once Upon a Mattress in High School and is excited to do it
again….Chad has performed in musicals such as Guys and
Dolls,
Anything Goes, The Wizard of Oz, Meet Me in St. Louis, The Christmas
Post, Footloose, Damn Yankees and Titanic. Sit back and enjoy the Show!

David Williams (Harry) - Theatre
is a vacation without the annoying series of shots, airport
pat
downs, parasites and trying to recover from a nine hour time
change after you get home. David is thrilled to be taking
another
trip (this time to a medieval kingdom) on the Circle stage! You may
have seen him on other tours to Oklahoma, Argentina and most recently
traveling by steamer from Belfast to New York. The lounge car (forward
of the sleeper) is open between acts. As we prepare to depart, please
have your tickets ready and enjoy the ride.

David Arnold (King Sextimus)
- David is proud to be doing his second production with Circle Players
in the role of King Sextimus. David has enjoyed a lifelong love of
theatre, first appearing on the Nashville stage over 30 years ago as a
member of the cast of SHOWBOAT, a musical review at OPRYLAND USA. More
recently, David has been seen as Thomas Andrews in TITANIC, Juan Peron
in EVITA, Miles Gloriosus in A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY
TO THE FORUM, Frank Butler in ANNIE GET YOUR GUN, Gaston in
DISNEY’S BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, Old Deuteronomy in CATS, Rooster
in ANNIE, the Major-General in PIRATES OF PENZANCE and (Admiral) Sir
Joseph Porter, KCB in HMS PINAFORE. He has also directed several shows,
among them, YOU’RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN, and
THE WIZARD OF OZ. During the day, David works as a Creative Director in
Franklin. He would like to thank Mike for the opportunity to
‘ACT OUT’ by giving him a role where he can’t speak
or sing. David dedicates his performance to his daughter, Anastasia,
who is also appearing in this production. SING OUT, Louise!

Delaney Amatrudo (Ensemble) - is thrilled
to be returning for her fourth show with Circle
Players after
a short, yet rather unbearable break. She was last seen in Circle's
production of Oliver as Charlotte Sowerberry. Prior to that, she was
seen in Footloose and in Tom Sawyer as Mary Sawyer. She
has also appeared in many church and school productions,
including
Fish Tales, The Bachelor King, and as the White Witch in The Chronicles
of Narnia. Also an accomplished studio performer, Delaney's voice can
be heard on various recordings including Broadway Junior's The
Aristocats, A Year with Frog and Toad, and everyone's favorite, High
School Musical.

Earl Landree (Knight #2)
is making his fourth appearance with Circle Players. He was
previously in the productions of The Music Man (Barbershop Quartet),
the King and I and most recently in Titanic the Musical, as Edgar
Beane. He’s also been seen in the Nashvile Dinner
Theatre’s
productions of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Sweeney
Todd, Mame and The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. Also previously seen as
Prince Dauntless in a previous production of Mattress for St. Joseph
Catholic Church. He’s also been in the chorus of
the
Nashville Opera, in Turandot, Aida, Madame Butterfly and Samson
&
Delilah. It’s great to be back again, and I
can’t
wait to work with this awesome cast!!!!!

Ed
Amatrudo (Wizard) - returns
to Circle after previously appearing in Oliver!, Footloose, Tom Sawyer
and Treasure Island. He has numerous film and TV credits and can be
seen every day on "The Foreclosure Show" on Comcast 49. Havin' a blast
workin' with J-Mo, Slim and the rest of the gang.

Elizabeth Cameron (Ensemble) -
Elizabeth Cameron is an 11 year old 6th grader at I.T. Creswell School
for the Arts that is thrilled to be included in this talented Circle
Players cast! Once Upon a Mattress is Elizabeth's ninth musical, and
her fifth show with Circle. Her most recent roles have been Fritz in
the Mini-Nutcracker, a thief in Oliver!, and Jack in Sondheim's Into
the Woods. When Elizabeth is not in rehearsal she can be found in the
backyard, singing show tunes to her dogs. |

Emily
Webb (Lady Larkin) - Emily
is a studio singer and voice teacher with a B.A. in vocal performance.
She has recorded with such artists as Carrie Underwood, Alan Jackson,
Dolly Parton, and Amy Grant. Emily credits her kids, Isabel and
Charlie, and her vocal coach, Karen Himelrick, with getting her back
into theatre, and she is thoroughly enjoying it! You may have seen her
recently in Titanic (Circle), Annie Get Your Gun (TCT) or
Here's
Love (TCT). Emily spends most of her time homeschooling her two amazing
kids, and is adopting two beautiful girls from Ethiopia. She wishes to
thank Mike for the opportunity to play such a fun role, all of the cast
and crew for making it a delightful experience, and Rob for supporting
her theatre habit. Enjoy the show!

Howard Snyder (Ensemble) - Howard is thrilled to return to the Circle Players’ stage, after appearing as Mr. Sowerberry, the Undertaker, in Oliver! earlier this season, as well as Bye Bye Birdie a decade ago. His involvement in community theatre spans 25 years. In Galveston, TX, Howard appeared in Da, The Student Prince, She Stoops to Conquer, and Damn Yankees – for which he received a Best Supporting Actor award. He received rave reviews as Noah in Two By Two in Ada, OK, where he also appeared in A Christmas Carol, Here Lies Jeremy Troy, and Da –
which he also directed. Soon after moving to Nashville in 1987, Howard
appeared in the JCC/Shalom Theater’s first two productions, The Good Doctor and Crossing Delancey. His more recent Shalom Theater appearances include Fiddler On The Roof and Gypsy.

Jennifer Kleine (Lady Rowena) - This
is Jennifers' second show with Circle Players. After mining the depths
of emotion in Titanic, the Musical, she is enjoying the lighthearted,
bawdy fun of Once Upon a Mattress. Jennifer performed in musical
theater, dinner theater, and Shakespeare in the park before she took a
ten-year break to raise her two boys. She's so happy to be back on
stage! Jennifer is a puppeteer for the Nashville Library Puppet Truck
and takes marionette shows to schools and preschools all over Davidson
County. In addition, she does costume design for the Library's puppet
theater and has created costumes for Dollywood. She's having fun with
Cat sewing the costumes for this show. Jennifer also sings with the
Ravens (hey girlfriends!), a female vocal harmony group that performs
an eclectic mix of folk, gospel, traditional, and blues. Thanks to Ray,
Thomas, and Josh for once again holding down the home front!

Jess Morris (Lady Merrill) - was
last seen as the “crazy old lady on roller skates”
in
Circle’s Footloose the Musical. She LOVED being Betty Blast
and
wants Circle to produce a show entirely on roller skates; maybe a
roller skating version of Hamlet?!? Originally from Dallas , TX she has
enjoyed many years in stage and film! Some of her more recent roles
include Shelby from Steel Magnolias and Nurse from Romeo &
Juliet.
When she’s not on stage you can find her hunting props for
various shows with the Prop Wizard! A big thanks to Mike, Kate, Deb,
Macon & Circle for the chance to be in such a fun show with an
amazing cast! “I’m in love with a boy named FR(ED)!
Yea!”

Jon Wilburn (Sir Luce) -
is in his first production with Circle Players. A Nashville
native, past theatre credits include Schoolhouse Rock Live, 1940's
Radio Hour, and three different runs as 'Sparky' in Forever Plaid with
the Lambuth University Theatre in Jackson, Tennessee. He has
also
performed in Moon Over Buffalo and Fiddler on the Roof with Theatre
West in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. He is excited to be on the
stage
again and honored to be part of this “Mattress”
cast.

Katie Leis (Ensemble) -
Katie has had so much fun working on this comedy, especially after all
of the tears in Titanic the Musical. She has been active in theater
since middle school, enjoying the Wizard of Oz, The King and I, High
School Musical, A Christmas Carol, and Oliver. Katie attends Martin
Luther King Magnet High School, where she runs Cross Country and
competes with the Mock Trial Team. Katie sings for the Blair Concert
Choir at Vanderbilt and is a member of the PG-13 Players, a teen
theatre troupe that writes and performs skits to teach their peers. She
would like to thank her family and friends for all of their support and
would like to thank you for coming to see the show!

Latoya Gardner (Lady H / Ensemble) -
LaToya is a Nashville native who has been in local productions since 14
including Stratford High Schools, "Cracks in the Wall" and The Positive
Theory Awareness Production Group. LaToya is a proud mom and enjoys her
career with Comcast Cable. This is LaToya's third show with the Circle
Players and she is excited to be involved. |

Lynda Cameron-Bayer (Queen Aggravain) -Lynda
Cameron-Bayer has been pounding the boards across the nation for too
many years to, comfortably, admit. She has found great joy in playing
such varied roles as Hedy La Rue in How to Succeed in Business... to
Mama Rose in Gypsy. Her first love is musical theatre, but she has done
everything from improv to pantomime, theme park characters, to dinner
theatre, to Shakespeare. Her greatest work and where she's found her
most profound joy, however, are as wife and mom to David and Bethany,
respectively. They remind her, daily, what the word “magic”
means. She would LOVE to take this opportunity to thank Kate for
reminding her she could dance and of the joy therein. Mike and Macon
– thank you for helping me find my evil side, it's been a blast!
And to the cast and crew – crown's off to all of you – you
have been a wonderful joy. And on that note she'd like to dedicate her
performance to her Aunt Joy. I'll remember for you. |

Maggie Pitt (2nd Jester/Ensemble)
- is delighted to be doing a show with ye olde Circle Players once
again. She has previously appeared in Circle's productions of
Treasure Island, Singin' in the Rain, and Oliver!, Community Player's
production of Around the World in 80 Days, and Street Theatre's
production of Evita. She would like to thank the
cast and
crew for such a fun experience, and she'd like to thank her friends and
family for all their support, even when she practices her dance steps
in public.

Mariah Parris (Ensemble) -
is a sophomore at Hume Fogg High School. She is thrilled to be back
with Circle after her longest departure thus far. Previous circle shows
include: Sound of Music, Music Man, Oklahoma!, and High School Musical.
This past summer, she had the opportunity to play “The
Witch” in Into The Woods with Metro Youth Theatre. She is a
member of Hume Fogg’s award winning show choir, The Blue
Notes,
and in her spare time, she enjoys singing jazz and doing yoga. She
hopes you find this show to be as adorable as she has and would like to
thank her family for their unconditional love.

Maya Antoinette Riley (Ensemble) -
Maya is
excited
to perform in her fourth Circle
Players’ production. This
12-year-old
has also appeared in “Oliver!” as a member of
Fagin’s Gang of Thieves, “Tom
Sawyer,” and “The King and I” as a
princess. Maya’s most recent stage
appearance was as Latonya, a young homeless girl in the original
production “A
View from Jupiter,” presented by Metro Parks Theater program.
She is a member
of “Grand Vista Kids,” a live singing and
performance group affiliated with
Grand Vista Records. Maya
studies voice
and piano and, when not on stage, enjoys her church youth ministry,
playing
soccer, and attending Abintra Montessori.
She lives with her parents in Nashville
and has two older brothers.
Maya wants
to thank Mike Z. and Macon for the opportunity to be a part of this
production.

Melissa Pardo (Princess #12 / Ensemble) -
is thrilled to make her debut on the Nashville community theater scene
with Circle Players. She appeared in The World Goes
‘Round,
Into the Woods, Bye Bye Birdie, and Oklahoma with Belmont
University’s musical theater program but since graduation has
been busy teaching music in Metro Nashville Public Schools.
She
is currently teaching at Andrew Jackson Elementary and is excited to
take her experience on the stage back into the classroom.
Melissa
is extremely grateful to the production crew of “Once Upon a
Mattress” for giving her this opportunity to perform.

Micha Norris (Ensemble) - is
a new member of Circle Players. Past credits include the lead
role as Miss Polly Harrington in Pollyanna (Christian Family Theatre)
and Prudence, a supporting role in Beauty and the Beast (Christian
Family Theatre). Other stage credits include the mother in
Broken
Heart (Christ The Redeemer Drama Team). She also was a member
of
Jehovah Java's theatre troupe from 2000-2001.

Nancy Whitehead (Jester)
- is tickled silly to be doing her first show with Circle
Players! No one would ever realize she was painfully shy as a
child! Seriously! Nancy most recently appeared as
Lola in
Damn Yankees at the Boiler Room Theatre, which was a role of a
lifetime. Other favorite professional theatre roles include
Zeigfeld's Favorite (Will Roger's Follies), Gladys (Pajama Game),
Maggie/Laurie (A Chorus Line), Rosalia (West Side Story),
Rosie
(Cabaret), and Ginger (1940s Radio Hour),
Other credits include a Toby Keith video, Disney's Pocahontas
movie premiere at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta, cruise ship performer,
choreographer/performer 6-Flags Over Georgia, CMA Awards 2008
dancer, tv commercials, jingle singer for tv commercials and toured as
a guest dance instuctor and judge for dance conventions
nationally. Other passions are tennis, the
beach, animals
and chocolate! Thx Circle Staff!!!

Patrick Benneyworth (1st Knight) - is
a recent MTSU Graduate with a degree in Speech and Theatre with an
emphasis in performance. This is his first show with Circle Players and
is very excited to be a part of "Once Upon a Mattress". He's looking
forward to working more with Circle Players in the future!

Ralph "Gabe" Gabriel (Dauntless) - is
originally from Syracuse, New York. He is married to Rachel
and
is the father of four children. By day, he is a science and drama
teacher and wrestling coach at Overton High School in
Nashville.
In his free time he is a singer, songwriter and guitar player in the
Bluegrass Baptist Praise band. Gabe has directed over 40
productions, but his first love is being on the stage. Gabe
has
been an active performer in Nashville since 1993 and has won a First
Night Award (for his role of Chico Marx in “A Night in the
Ukraine”) and a Tenny (for his role as Joseph in
Circle’s
production of “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor
Dreamcoat”). Gabe is enjoying work with Circle
again and
with Mike for the first time in "Mattress”. He
would like
to thank his family and friends for always supporting his need to
perform, and he hopes all of you have an enjoyable night of theater

Valerie Navarre (Nightengale/Ensemble) - was
most recently seen hailing poetry and learning many cheerful facts
about the square of the hypotenuse as Mabel in ACT 1's The Pirates of
Penzance. She is an ardent and zealous fan of Nashville based bands
Happy Birthday Amy, First Comes Love, and The Protomen, and eagerly
awaits the day when she can annoy bar patrons with off key karaoke
renditions of their music. Other than her piratical role mentioned
above, favorite roles include Lady Bracknell (The Importance of Being
Earnest), Lady Capulet (Romeo and Juliet), and Lady... er, I mean,
Gymnasia (A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum). An avid
writer, she hopes to soon self publish a book of short stories. |
