Sofia Apuzzo(Ripper,
Cheerleader, Dance Capt.)
This is Sofia’s seventh show with Circle – it all started
with The Wizard of Oz. Since then she has been in numerous productions
around town and at Hume-Fogg High School, where she is a rising junior
and a member of the international award winning show choir, The
Bluenotes. Favorite roles include Ursula in Bye Bye Birdie and Little
Mary in The Women. She studies all kinds of dance at Artistry in Motion
and is a member of the national award winning dance team, N2Motion.

Carson Brock(Zeke)
Carson is ecstatic about playing the role of Zeke in Circle
Player’s High School Musical. Carson has become greatly involved
in the music and theatre programs at his High School. He recently
played the role of Charlie in Brigadoon. Over the last two years he has
been competing and performing with his High School’s show choir.
Carson thanks Sara, Jose, and Thom for all their guidance and
motivation they provided him.

Kris Campa(Mongo,
Jack Scott, Jock)
Kris Campa is happy to be part of this Circle Players
production. He has worked professionally with Actor's Bridge Theatre
Company, Nashville Shakespeare Festival, and Street Theatre Company.
Favorite shows include Faith Doubt, Jesus Hopped the A Train, Bat Boy:
The Musical. He also appeared in La Taqueria which premiered at the
Nashville Film Festival. Kris would like to thank Sara and Jose,
Trevor, SK, LL, and KM.

Chris Campbell(Chad)
The 19 year-old Nashville-native Christopher Scott Campbell began his
acting career at the age of four years old doing commercial and videos
around town for Advantage Modeling and Talent agency. The most
memorable roles and plays that Chris has been apart of include Tevye in
“A Fiddler on the Roof”, Stage Manager in “Our
Town”, Rooster in “Annie” Bob Crachit in “A
Christmas Carol”, Hendricks in “A Cat in the Cannery”
and a variety of characters in “The Complete History of
America(abridged)”. He has even been a Co-Director for his own
high school production of “Guys and Dolls”. Chris has also
done lighting and set crew work at The University of Tennessee at
Chattanooga, where he attends school. At UTC Chris is majoring in
Theatre and Speech, Communications, minoring in Business Marketing, and
wants to continue his acting career after college.

Rachel Carrozziere(Gabriella)
Graduating with a BA in musical theater, Rachel Carrozziere’s
credits include: Mercedes The Laramie Project, for which she received
an Irene Ryan Nomination, Laurie Oklahoma, and Agnes Agnes of God. A
familiar face in the film and music scene, Rachel’s debut CD,
produced by Eric Reason, was released December 2006.

Taylor Casey(Ryan,
Assistant to the Music Director)
Taylor Casey attends Belmont University and majors in Musical Theatre.
He has been in multiple shows including: Into the Woods, Seussical,
Guys and Dolls, Bye Bye Birdie and Anything Goes. He is very excited to
be playing Ryan Evans and cannot wait for the show to begin. High
School Musical is his first performance with Circle Theater and he
knows it will be a wonderful show.

Kathryn Clubb(Martha)
Kathryn Clubb is thrilled to be making her community stage debut as
Martha Cox in High School Musical. Kathryn has been taking ballet for
twelve years, added on tap, jazz, lyrical, and pointe, danced on her
studio’s competition team, and has performed in church musicals,
choir, and school choirs as long as she can remember. She is a
Hume-Fogg student who loves her God, family, friends, and the theatre!

Christy Craig(Kratnoff,
Athletic Trainer)
High School Musical is Christy's first production with Circle Players.
She is a rising sophomore at Hume Fogg Magnet High School and enjoys
singing in a myriad of choirs around town as well as performing in
church musicals and school productions. She would like to thank her
parents and sisters, Katie and Kelsey, for all their encouragement.

Andrew Drumheller(Costumer)
This is Andrew Drumheller’s first production
with Circle Players. He has previously worked with Street Theatre on
Bat Boy since moving to Nashville from his home state of Nebraska.
Andrew has created costumes and performed in multiple shows including
The Car, A Day in Hollywood, A Night in the Ukraine and Once Upon a
Mattress. Andrew would like to thank his family and loved ones for all
their support.

Makenzie Fitzhugh(Cheerleader)
Makenzie Fitzhugh will be a 7th grader this fall. She is an optional
level competitive gymnast. In addition, Makenzie loves to sing and
dance. She takes voice, piano and violin lessons. Her favorite musical
is “Wicked”. She was able to see it in Chicago while there
for a gymnastics competition.

Thom Garrison(Music
Director)
Thom Garrison is a Grant Program Manager for the State of Tennessee,
Director of Music Ministries at Pennington UMC and teaches at the W. O.
Smith School of Music. He has most recently been the music director for
You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown, The Music Man (best Music
2006-07 season) and pit director for The King and I. Thom likes to
spend his spare time with his son and daughter.

Ailie Green(Skater,
Thespian)
Ailie Green is making her acting debut with Circle Players. She has
been a studio vocalist for a variety of projects since she was 8. Her
credits include vocal studio work for: Anberlin, Clay Walker, Greenhill
Productions, Warner Brothers, Lisa Silver, Cartoon Network, among
others. An avid runner, Ailie also likes to write in her spare time.
Ailie Green is a high school student who attends Brentwood High and
will be a sophomore in the fall.

Jamye Hardy(Susan,
Cheerleader)
Jamye Hardy is a High School Student at University School of Nashville
whose fortes are in the performing arts. She is trained in eight styles
of dance with strong points in African and liturgical. Jamye is the
liturgical dance instructor at Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church. She
also enjoys taking part in theatrical and improvisational performances.
In addition to these, Jamye trains for voice and violin at the W.O.
Smith Community Music School when she isn’t cheering or hanging
with her friends.

Amanda Hill(Brainiac,
Athletic Trainer)
Amanda is a sophomore at Belmont University pursuing a degree in
photojournalism. She took part in Bye Bye Birdie and Into the Woods
when she attended Ravenwood High School, and is very excited to be a
part of musical crowd once again. She hopes that all of the hard work
pays off, and all of you enjoy the show.

Molly Hoekstra(Ms.
Darbus)
Molly Hoekstra is thrilled to participate in her first Circle
Players’ production, after a far-too-long hiatus from musical
theatre. In the interim, she has written fiction and non-fiction,
including the YA novel, Upstream, and the edited collection, Am I
Teaching Yet? She loves reading and spending time with her husband,
singer-songwriter Doug Hoekstra, and their son, Jude.

Sara Hornberger(Cheerleader)
Sara Hornberger is a fifteen-year-old sophomore at Saint Cecilia
Academy and member of the International Thespian Society. She has been
involved with acting, dancing, sports, and singing for many years. Her
performances include "Malice in the Palace," "The Million-heirs,"
"Sunny-side UP," "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe," "The
Magician's Nephew," "The Boyfriend," and "Dig It!"

Josh Hosale(Brainiac)
This is Josh Hosale’s third production with Circle Players. He
has been acting for eight years and have been in many shows, including
The Homecoming, Footloose, Oliver!, Babes in Toyland, and A Christmas
Carol. He is 17 years old, and attends Nashville School of the Arts.
His major is theatre and his minor is vocal music. When he graduates he
hopes to pursue acting as a career. Josh wants to thank Sara
Youngblood-Ochoa for his chance to be part of one of the biggest
movements in pop culture!!!!!!!

Claire Jarman(Stage
Manager)
Claire Jarman is delighted to be making her Circle
Players debut behind the scenes of High School Musical. Favorite past
productions include Trojan Woman (Actors Bridge), A Little Night Music
(Vanderbilt Opera Theatre), The Telephone/Trouble in Tahiti (Vanderbilt
Opera Theatre) and Equus (Second Stage at Wesleyan University).

DeJon Kilcrease(Jason)
DeJon Kilcrease loves acting and music. He plays the piano and has sung
with the Fisk Jubilee Singers many times. He attends Nashville School
of the Arts and is going into his last year at NSA. DeJon is enjoying
using his outgoing and fun personality in High School Musical.

Josh Knight(James)
Josh Lee Knight is 14 and is in the 8th grade at T.W. Hunter. This is
his second play. He previously was in Scrooge at Cornerstone Church.
Josh has played the guitar for 2 years and he likes to work out and
stay in shape.

Tim Larson(Coach
Bolton)
Tim works for HCA, Inc. as a Solution Director for Information
Technology by day, but by night you can see him involved in many
community theatre organizations. He is on the Board of Act One and
Circle Players, he has directed, choreographed, and acted in many
productions with Circle Players, Pull Tight, Act One and Senior Center
for the Arts. Tim believes that networking and working with numerous
organizations lets him meet so many talented people in the Nashville
area, and he is continuously amazed at the gifted performers and feels
humbled to be part of the community. Tim recently directed Oklahoma!
for Circle Players, in collaboration with the School of the Nashville
Ballet. He was most recently seen in HMS Pinafore, Joseph and the
Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, The Music Man and Ragtime.

Katie Leis(Asst.
Director)
Katie Leis is a sophomore at Martin Luther King Magnet. She sings with
the Blair Concert Choir, performs with the PG-13 Players, scoops ice
cream at Maggie Moos, and is an active youth leader in the United
Methodist Church. Previously a wife and the angel in The King and I,
she is thrilled to be back with Circle. Favorite recent roles include a
munchkin and a crow in The JCC production of The Wizard of Oz.

Jim Manning(Set
Designer, Board Liaison)
Onstage, Jim Manning has won Best Featured Actor (Moon Over Buffalo),
Best Supporting Actor (Oklahoma!), and Best Actor in a Leading role
(Midsummer Night's Dream). Offstage, he designs sets for several groups
around town and won best set design for The Music Man. He is currently
gearing up to direct Treasure Island for Circle Players.

David McGinnis(Light
Designer, Assistant Stage Manager)
David is frequently found around town either on stage or somewhere
behind the scenes. Having most recently designed lights for Act One,
The Tennessee Womens Project and Circle Players Award winning
production of Oklahoma!, David was most recently seen on stage in
Zoologies, The Viewing, Love Laughes Last and Oklahoma! David has been
working the theatre scene in Nashville for 9 years now after leaving
his beloved East Tennessee homeland. David studied theatre at East
Tennessee University and was actively involved with the Morristown
Theater Guild for many years, where he enjoyed being one of the
resident players. While not on stage, David is making people very happy
booking their vacations as a travel agent at GoGo Vacations. He would
like to thank his extended family of close friends here in Nashville
and his parents for their unending support of his love of theatre.

McKinley Merritt(Cheerleader)
McKinley Merritt is an outgoing person. She attends East Literature
Magnet in Nashville, TN. This is her first play outside of school and
family. Some of McKinley’s hobbies include dancing, singing
(mostly in the shower), and (of course) acting.

Jose Ochoa(Choreographer)
José Ochoa is the Superintendent of Cultural
Arts for Metro Parks. He is a graduate of the North Carolina School of
the Arts in music performance and West Texas A&M University with a
Masters in Interdisciplinary Studies in Dance, Music, and Theatre. He
has directed/choreographed in Central America and for companies such as
the Oklahoma Shakespearean Festival, Ballet Nacíonal, Lone Star
Ballet, WTAMU, Burning Coal Theatre Company and Groundworks Theatre
Company. His directing/choreographing experience include plays,
musicals, Greek tragedies, original ballets, and stage readings. In
music, he has performed in festivals and with symphonies and was the
Founding Director of the Bay Islands School of Music in the Western
Caribbean. Currently he serves on several arts boards and diversity
advisory committees throughout the city. Jose is married to Sara
Youngblood-Ochoa, the love of his life.

Mariah Parris(Kelsi)
Mariah Parris is fourteen and will be attending Hume Fogg this fall as
a freshman. This is her 4th Circle production and she is thrilled to be
playing the part of Kelsi in High School Musical. She enjoys singing
(jazz is her favorite), dance and theatre. Thank you for coming to the

Will Rasmussen is very excited to let High School Musical be his first
theater performance. He is a senior at East Literature Magnet, where he
is also the captain of his dance team. He has sang with church groups,
as well as done choreography for school performances.

Caleb Reynolds(Jock,
Featured Dancer)
This is Caleb Reynolds’s first show at Circle Players and second
show all together. His only other show was Thoroughly Modern Millie,
performed at Franklin High School where he is an upcoming junior. Caleb
has danced since he was three and also plays baseball and rides
motocross. He would like to thank his parents for bringing him to
practice and the Good Lord for giving him the ability to do these
things.

Ramona Richards(Producer)
Ramona Richards is a Circle Players veteran who's taken a few years
off. She's performed in numerous local productions for Circle, Mansker
Players, and ACT I, including Damn Yankees, Music Man, Guys and Dolls,
Shenandoah, and Smoke on the Mountain. She's best at comedy and belting
out songs, but she's also produced, run lights, hammered nails, run
props, and sloshed coffee for countless other shows. She's just pretty
much a theater junkie - and she's glad to be back with Circle for HSM.

Bob Rogers(Troy)
Bob Rogers is currently a 19 year old bartender in
Cookeville, TN. He spent 2006 interning at the Cumberland County
Playhouse in Crossville and enjoyed being in many plays such Oklahoma
(Jud), Les Miserables, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat,
One Flew Over the Cockoo’s Nest, and Singing in the Rain to name
a few. He has also been in 4 films produced by Seventh Story
Productions. His future goals include eventually getting a degree from
MTSU in Musical Theatre. At the moment, he is thoroughly enjoying being
the ‘good guy’ for a change.

Tosha Schmidt is STOKED to be making her Circle debut in such a fun
way! She's a dance performance major at Oklahoma City University. This
summer she's back home where her other credits include: Ursula (Bye Bye
Birdie), Chastity (Anything Goes), Regina Aniger (Queens of Heart), and
more. Thanks to Sara, Lauri, Emmy, TMNT, TNT and A, Mom (olive juice),

Susan Seay(Sharpay)
Susan is a senior broadcast major at MTSU. Past credits include Hedy
LaRue in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Arsenic and
Old Lace (Elaine), and Musical Comedy Murders of 1940 (Nikki). She
would like to thank her husband, Ryan, for his constant support and
comedic relief.

Mary-Molly Storey is super excited about her roles in High School
Musical this year! She's a Nashville-native and loves acting, singing,
and dancing. She takes ballet, tap, jazz and hip-hop, and loves the
world of performance! Mary-Molly is 14-years old and will be a freshman
this year at Hume-Fogg Academic. She would like to thank her family,
friends, the cast, and Jesus Christ for giving her such a passion!

Anastasia Teel is elated to participate in High School Musical. She is
a rising sophomore at Hume-Fogg High School. Anastasia has participated

her friends, and most importantly Sherry Scates for arousing her love
for musical theater.

Emily Turner(Cyndra)
Emily Turner is a recent graduate of Harpeth Hall and will attend
Trinity College in the fall. Recent roles include School House Rock,
Dear Edwina, and Bye Bye Birdie (Penelope). Emily is an experienced
dancer in modern, tap, jazz, ballet, and hip hop. Emily is very excited
to be in her first Circle Players show!

Chris Williams(Jock,
Brainiac)
Chris Williams is an 18 year old graduate from McGavock Comprehensive
High School in Nashville Tennessee. Since the age of five, he has
participated in various plays, musicals, choir shows and dance
competitions all over the town. Recently, Chris was involved in
"Dreamgirls". His High school years were the best. He was a Drum
major/Field commander, and an Alto Sax player for the award winning
McGavock High School band, a dancer for the McGavock Allstars Dance
team, and also in McGavock's Capital Sounds, and SoundBytes Show
Choirs. This is his first production for Circle Players.

Christina Woods(Asst.
to Costumer)
Christina Woods is a recent graduate from TNU, with a B.A. in theatre.
She met some of this fine cast and crew while performing in Street
Theatre Company's Batboy:The Musical, playing the role of Mrs. Taylor.
She loves Nashville theatre, and has been involved in the arts both on
stage and behind the curtain. Some of her Nashville costuming designs
were seen in Till We Have Faces, School House Rock Live! and The House
of Bernarda Alba. She hopes to continue to be involved in theatre in
anyway possible, and is blessed to be working with the one and only
Andrew Drumheller.

Sara Youngblood-Ochoa(Director)
Sara Youngblood-Ochoa is the Director of Education and Outreach for the
Nashville Ballet. She is also the former Education Director for
Amarillo Little Theatre (ALT) and the former Performing Arts Director
for the Arts Council of Wilson where she led the very successful ACT!
For Youth program. A few of her favorite acting roles include Anna in
Closer, Frankie in Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune, the Witch
in Into the Woods, Amanda in Private Lives, Cecily in The Importance of
Being Earnest, and Helena in The Mystery of Edwin Drood. Some of her
favorite directorial productions are The Music Man (ALT), HONK! (ALT
& ACT! For Youth), Once Upon A Mattress (ALT), Peter Pan (ACT! For
Youth), and Bridge to Terabithia (ALT). Ms. Youngblood-Ochoa is the
recipient of a Valley Theatre League Award (Los Angeles, CA), an Austin
Circle of Theatre (ACOT) nomination for Marisol, a Moody Award for Best
Supporting Actress in a Musical for Gypsy (Austin, TX) and a Magic
Circle Award for Quilters (Amarillo, TX). Sara loves working in the
theatre, but her favorite role is as wife to Jose!
